When we went to Manchester
animation festival during one of the days I went to the Manchester art gallery
because I love classical art and I think there is a lot to learn from it. I
think classical art links to animation strongly because there is a focus on
composition and colour in classical paintings and the poses are vibrant and
interesting, something which is also very important in animation. I did lots of
studies of the paintings and sculptures to try and learn about the way the
figures are placed in the scene and also to capture the poses the figures are
in.
