Afterlife - Ishu Patel

This animation explores the idea of afterlife through an abstract style of animation. The process for Afterlife was under lit plastacine, Patel discovered this technique by accident and then developed it. I like this animation because it feels very original in terms of technique and it really explores what animation can be. The music adds to the mood of the animation and makes what’s happening soothing and mystical. There is limited use of colours but this is most likely due to the limitations of the process. It is hard to understand what the animation is really saying but nevertheless it is quite thought provoking because the information is not fed to the viewer like in more commercial animations.
