I saw Song of the Sea at Manchester animation festival and i thought it was a good film, i liked the way the visual style suited the mood of the animation and the story. Personally i thought the characters were quite flat against the background for most of the film and I'm not a big fan of the flat 2d look but that's just me and i liked all the other elements of the film. The detailed backgrounds and particle effects give the film an enchanting aura that also matches up with the story. I thought the character animation was good and the characters were fairly well developed.
